The Midwest Region's Resources
Resources are the things we use to complete a task. For example, a pencil is a resource to write something and a car is a resource to get you from one place to another.
The Midwest Region has many natural resources. Natural Resources are resources we find in nature. There are three natural resources that the Midwest Region has a lot of. These natural resources are...
The soil in the Midwest Region is great for growing crops and for feeding animals. Farmers feed their cattle, or cows, and other livestock on the land. The healthy soil is a renewable resource, meaning it will come back, but only as long as we take care of it and keep it healthy.

Oil is another resource
in this region. Oil is a nonrenewable resource, meaning that it can never come back once it's gone. Oil is used for many things like car fuel, energy for homes, and is even used in making crayons!

There aren't many forests
in the Midwest Region but the forests that are there are very strong and healthy. The forests are used to get lumber to build homes and furniture and the trees are homes to many different animals.

Hope you enjoyed your virtual tour of the Midwest Region!
