The Southwest Region's Population
Population is the number of people living somewhere. In this case, it's the number
of people living in the Southwest Region of the United States.
The population of the Southwest Region is small. As of 2020, the population of the Southwest Region was about 42.5 million people between the four states. New Mexico is the least populated state in the region with only 2.1 million people. Texas is the most populated state with 29.2 million. From 2010 to 2019, the number of people living in the
Southwest Region went down by a little, showing that people are choosing to
leave the area.

There are many resources in this region that the people use to do or make something.
