The Western Region's Landforms
Landforms are the different shapes on the Earth that change how the Earth looks.
The Western Region has many landforms. Some of those landforms are (click each bubble with each landform from left to right)...
The Rocky Mountains cut through Colorado and stretch up to Montana and into Canada. The Rocky Mountains stretches
for 3,000 miles and is popular with people
who like to ski and snowboard!

The deserts are
landforms that see very little water over the year. The days are very hot and the nights can get very cold. The Mojave Desert can be found here. It's in parts of California, Nevada, and Arizona. The Sonoran Desert is also found in this region.

The Western Region has
the west coast, which is the sandy beaches next to the Pacific Ocean. There are usually a lot of rocks on the beaches, a cool breeze from the ocean, and the Pacific Ocean gives many aquatic animals. Aquatic means "relating to the water".

The people in the Western Region have shaped this land to make it fit their purposes.
