The Titanic sank because of human error and had nothing to do with fate. If the people aboard the Titanic had been more careful, the Titanic could have survived! For example, the ship's binoculars were locked away where sailors couldn't get them, preventing anyone from seeing the iceberg soon enough. Additionally, the ship's captain was trying to break a speed record and was traveling way too fast!
