Cause and Effect 1

Many teachers believe that students shouldn't be allowed to chew gum in school. If students were allowed to chew gum in school, then gum would be stuck under desks and spit onto the floors. Not every student would be responsible with throwing out their gum, so the school would become very dirty and unclean. If students could chew gum, this would also lead to students blowing bubbles and snapping the bubbles. The snapping would cause other students to get distracted. However, some people argue that chewing gum is actually a good thing! Studies have shown that children who chew gum during a quiz or test can remember things more easily!
