The Southwest Region's Landforms
Landforms are the different shapes on the Earth that change how the Earth looks.
The Southwest Region has many landforms. Some of those landforms are (click each bubble with each landform from left to right)...
The Rocky Mountains stretch for 3,000 miles
from Canada, through the Western Region,
and into New Mexico. The highest point in
the Rocky Mountains
is Mount Elbert, a 14,440-foot
mountain.

Canyons are steep gaps
that have rocky walls around them. Canyons are created by water flowing in between two rocks over a long period of time. One of the most famous canyons found in Arizona is the Grand Canyon.
