The Northeast Region's Population
Population is the number of people living somewhere. In this case, it's the number of people living in the Northeast Region of the United States.
As of 2020, there were more than 57 million people living in the Northeast Region. New Jersey is the most dense, or tightly filled, state in the Northeast Region. It's a smaller state, so the 8.8 million people living in it make it dense.
But the most populated state in the Northeast Region is New York with over 19 million people living in the state. Pennsylvania is the second most populated state with over 12 million people. New York and Pennsylvania are the only states in the Northeast Region that have over 10 million people living in them!
There are many resources in this region that the people use to do or make something.
